Saudi Arabia offers the most desirable, historically and culturally intriguing sites along with facilities that bring modernity in to perspective. In five days, one can visit such attractions to get a glimpse of past history and modernity starting with the modern cities, and touring round to history-enchanted cities. Here now is a quick guide that you may find useful when making your way around.

Day 1: Explore Riyadh – The Capital City: To begin your journey, Riyadh, the energetic capital city of Saudi Arabia, is the right stop. First stop should be at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, to gain understanding of the country and its people. Then, visit the Masmak Fortress which is an archaeological representation of Riyadh unification and a proof of its cultural heritage in terms of architecture. To conclude your day, choose the Kingdom Centre Tower, a uniquely designed business tower with an observation deck with views of Riyadh.
Day 2: Journey to Al-Ula – Ancient Wonders: The second day will be spent exploring the geographical and archaeological wonder of your destination, Al- ulaa. First on the list is Madain Saleh or Al- Hijr which was inscribed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site due to the Nabatean rock-cut tombs and other structures found in the area. The large rocks and the stony sculptures in this park are very impressive and can make you stand in wonder. In the evening there are opportunities to take a camel ride through the picturesque desert or dine in the evening in the tent with Bedouin dinner under the stars.

Day 3: Discover Jeddah – The Red Sea Jewel: Travel to KSA by flight and land in the city of Jeddah that is located at the eastern coast of the Red Sea. Start your tour by taking a leisurely walk along the coastline at the Corniche; it is a long pedestrian way where you can enjoy scenic views of the sea and have a cup of coffee at a local café. Spend some time in the King Fahd Fountain and watch the tallest fountain in the world and investigate the old district of Al Balad, see the coral buildings and purchase souvenirs from the Oriental bazaars. Afterwards, laze on the sandy beaches or luxuriate in water activities with the aquamarine waters of the Red Sea.
Day 4: Experience Taif – The Mountain Retreat: Proceed on a road trip to Taif city; a city situated in the Sarawat mountain range. This city has many parks, and the weather is quite good and comfortable almost all year round. Go to Shubra Palace today to see how well built it is and the stunning architectural designs of the palace and its gardens. One can also ride the Taif Cable Car in order to get impressive views of the mountainous and valley landscape. Do not leave without visiting the local markets where you can grab some delicious fruits, lovely flowers, and delightful traditional souvenirs.
Day 5: Return to Riyadh – Final Exploration: This is your last day in Riyadh so best that you return back to this city for your last day. Visit Diriyah, a lush city that has been the heart of Saudi Arabia since ancient times and listed as a historical site by UNESCO. Walking in the brick city, visit the historical development of the country. The last highlight of the trip is to visit the Riyadh Gallery Mall to explore the Saudi Arabia of the current era before flying to the airport.
