First Malaysian Sharia Compliant airline takes wings

Malaysia has launched it’s first Sharia Compliant airline – Rayani Air, based out of Langkawi.
For passengers, offended by non-islamic practices, and concerns about compliance with Sharia rules regarding food, etc., Rayani brings massive relief.
According to the managing director Jaafar Zamhari of Rayani, “ It is compulsary for our Muslim women cabin crew to wear hijab and for non-muslim to wear a decent uniform…We also recite doa (prayers) before departure of each flight, we have a ‘no alcohol’ policy, and we provide food and beverages that are halal.”
The air line is a low cost carrier, which is going to initially operate on routes within Malaysia to start with.
