The craft show kickoff is slated for early June at George Everest in Mussoorie and will go on up to June/July 2025, giving the visitors the opportunity to experience several activities in different places in Uttarakhand State. These events offer possibilities for not only stargazing but also the mapping of world’s best sky site in different districts like Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Nainital, and Chamoli. In conjunction with the recreational activities, experts will lead seminars and webinars whereby more information on solar energy will be disseminated, making this a learning experience as well.
Beside professional training and skill improvement for people in the town that is interested in astronomy and tourism, Nakshatra Sabha intends to stimulate local economies and safeguard the night sky. Establishing a network of dark sky ambassadors who are equally dedicated to preserving the dark sky conservation within the region, the project aims to future enforce a region-wide dark sky policy the upcoming year, and thereby ensure continuous, sustainable astro-tourism in the region.
