Mumbai
In this respect, monsoon rains and the season has always been associated with Mumbai. Nevertheless, it is recommended that this city should be visited during June of the pre-monsoon season while July, August are not favorable months for travelling to this coastal city. The only thing that you will find in the city, during this time is flooded roads, schedules of cancelled trains, and water splashing between the Arabian sea and the roads.
Kedarnath
This considered as the much more visited destination in the summers because the temple remains opened from May and has a fairly decent amount of snowfall during winters. And after once a month, it again gets closed because of the heavy downpour. Otherwise, storm showers in areas around the shrine are unpredictable, but when they fall, landslide occurs and transport to the mountain top obstacle is encountered.
Spiti Valley
According to the perceived regional geography classifications, this valley is a rain shadow valley which does not receive rain from the Rain Gods as it protectively situated in the trans-Himalayan zone to conserve from wind and bear rain. However, this is part of this list because as a result of the international changes on climate, the mentioned valleys are receiving rainfall. But this is not all, the low-lying mountain range receives moderate to good amount of rainfall, hence cases of landslides and road blockage till the valley is encountered
Assam
This North Eastern state is flooded and receive landslides every monsoon as it receive lots of rainfall. Evacuation efforts are ongoing during this, and all the train, flight, and automobile movement is ceased.
Meghalaya
This state is home to two of the wettest cities in the world, Cherrapunjee and Mawsynram. Even if the state is covered in vivid colors during the rainy season, it is best to avoid visiting this region of the nation at this time of year because of the severe rainfall that could make your trip more difficult.
