The proud Swedish parents of baby Vincent celebrated his birthday yesterday.
His mother held him closely celebrating their joy being born from a 61-year-old woman’s donated womb. He was born two months earlier at 21 weeks in a ten-hour transplant surgery.
Vincen’st mother was born without a womb and she wanted to have children after she got married. She participated in a medical trial conducted by Dr. Mats Branstrom with nine other women looking to become mothers.
Vincent’s mother is the only one of the test trial mothers who didn’t use their biological donor relatives to give birth.
