We need to coin a new word for intolerance: says Arundhati Roy
One of the most celebrated authors of India; Arundhati Roy recently claimed that Intolerance is an inadequate word to describe the fears under which minorities are living in India.
She further added, we have to coin another word to describe killing, burning alive and other goings because intolerance is not sufficient. The 55- year- old attacked BJP government also by saying BJP is promoting Brahminism and attempting to glorify social reformers of India as great Hindus.
The writer faced lot of criticism from RSS Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad and was called Anti- Indian, Pro- Pakistani.
This happened in Pune at a function, where she was present to receive Mahattama Jyotiba Phule Award.
