The White House believes that Russia is no longer a superpower and its power has decreased from what it used to have as Soviet Union. Russia’s economy has also deteriorated.
Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary said that “Russia now has the fifteenth largest economy and ranks somewhere behind Spain.”
He also said that the country is getting isolated in a way and hardly has any good allies. The power it had during the 20th Century is no more in its hand.
