U.S. OK’s sending ground troops to Syria
Shifting its stance, the U.S. government has decided to send a few dozen ground troops to Syria to advice the non-government forces fighting the ISIS.
It should be noted that a short while back Russia sent it’s ground forces, along with Air Force bombers and fighters to support the Assad Regime there. Also, soon after arriving, the first targets of the Russian forces were the Non-Government forces, which were fighting the ISIS and also Assad.
This U.S. move may be calculated to neutralize the Russian intervention, by supporting the non – government freedom fighters. However, whether this intervention by the superpowers helps things, or makes them worse, only time will tell.
