In response to the continuing violence in Bangladesh, Sonu Sood asked his followers to contribute to the effort to save fellow Indians living in that country.

Sonu Sood is also popular for expressing himself on social and political issues. Further, besides the humanitarian activity, the actor actively shares his opinions on the deterioration of society on his social networks. Later on, Sonu used his Twitter account to plead with the citizens of India to help bring fellow Indians who are trapped in Bangladesh. This comes after Bangladesh leader Sheikh Hasina flees the country in military aircraft due to violence on Monday.
Sonu also just tweeted a post which shared a video of an Indian woman saying how painful it is and how fellow Indians like her lives are in danger in Bangladesh. She also indicated her desire to go back to India. The actor tweeted: “Our Govt is trying it’s best to bring back all Indians from Bangladesh so all can have a good life here Lot of responsibility not only of our govt but all of us #JaiHind”.
Before that, on August 5, Sonam Kapoor had voiced her worries regarding the ever increasing loses in Bangladesh. She reposted an IG post from The Juggernaut in her Instagram story where it talked about 66 people killed in a single day due to the clashes. The actor, not known to the international audience but quite popular in Bangladesh, captioned her post as, “This is horrible. Let’s all pray for Bangladeshi people. ” At least 91 people were killed with hundreds injured in the violence that erupted on Monday. Students, workers and traders were tear-gassed and shot at by police to disperse the protest that involved tens of thousands of citizens. People have been advised to stay home every day since Sunday evening, trains do not operate, and the garments sector, which is huge in Bangladesh, halts operations.

Casting her lot with the Awami League, Sheikh Hasina came to the Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad close to New Delhi. Sheikh Hasina, now 76 years is the daughter of the founding father of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The recent drastic changes in Bangladesh put an end to Hasina’s rule that has lasted for 15 years.
