VW in bed with German government!
The VW scandal keeps getting murkier. It is now emerging that the company enjoyed or still enjoys considerable clout with the German government, and those that matter.
The current German Chancellor even got a taste of this clout when she first became Germany’s environment minister in 1995, when her move to limit pollution by automobiles was snubbed.
However, to survive in the game, it seems that Merkel also learnt to live symbiotically with the German Auto industry, Germany’s largest employer with 750 thousand workers, and a combined turnover almost 1.5 times the budget of the German government.
What is now emerging, that German and shockingly even European authorites were in the know about the discrapencies in pollution test results, but were keeping quiet about the matter.
