Rupee has strengthened for the third straight day, with a rising of 6 paise, to trade at over a fresh one-month high of a 66.85 against the dollar today.
It has sustained selling of the US currency by the exporters and banks amid firm domestic equities.

Forex dealers have said that, sustained foreign fund inflows and the weakness in the dollar against some other currencies overseas has also supported the rupee.
Moreover, on Thursday, the local unit had also gained 14 paise to finish at a fresh one-month high of a 66.91 on persistent selling of the American currency further in the view of firm equities amid a weaker dollar in the overseas market.
