Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu recently suggested to create an online database for the children, who were missing since a long time and were then rescued at railway stations in collaboration with ministry of women and child development.
Earlier, the ministry launched a helpline number 1098 for the missing children. Now to extend it and make it more feasible for the people to identify their children, railway ministry is planning to come up with a website.
Suresh Prabhu further added to this, “We should have an online track as well as registration in which necessary information could be uploaded about children. This will help their family members to easily identify them.”
