Population of tigers has been increased in India!
Population of tigers has raised upto 30 percent in India since 2010. According to a report, Environment and Forest Minister Prakash Javadekar made this statement, while he was replying to question by Prathap Simha.
According to census, there were 1,411 tigers in year 2008, 1706 in year 2011; the latest census has revealed that currently there are 2,226 tigers in the country. India contains 70 percent of the world’s tiger population and it has increased by 30 percent, it is commendable.
He further added “While the tiger population is decreasing in world and increasing in India it is a great news.”
