PM has discussed bilateral issues with Tajikistan President
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has discussed the bilateral issues with Enomali Rahmon Tajikistan’s President on the sidelines of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) summit in Tashkent.
Both the country’s leaders had held delegations-level talks to strengthen ties.
PM Modi has also tweeted, saying that, he is glad to meet President Rahmon, and India attaches a strong importance to extensive cooperation with Tajikistan.
The Prime Minister has arrived in Uzbekistan on Thursday to attend the two-day SCO summit.

India along with Pakistan was granted a membership to the SCO last July. Both the nations along with Iran were admitted as observers in the 2005 summit, and were expected to join fully in 2016.
SCO was formed at a summit held in Shanghai in the year 2001 by the presidents of China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan.
