On Thursday the petrol price was reduced by Rs. 2.25 while diesel prices were decreased by Rs. 0.42 per liter.
Petrol – Diesel
The new prices will be in effect from midnight.After the reduction, the price for petrol in Delhi will be Rs. 62.51/L whereas the price for diesel in Delhi will be Rs. 54.28/L.
“The level of the international product prices of petrol and diesel and rupee and dollar exchange rate warrant decreases in the selling prices of both petrol and diesel, the impact of this is being passed on to the consumers as the price revision,” said the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
The movement of international oil market and rupee and dollar exchange rate should continue to be monitored closely as it will result in future price change, he added.
As per the revision of the fuel prices, the last time price revision happened on July 1 according to which petrol was decreased by Rs. 0.89/L and diesel by Rs. 0.49/L
