Novelist Umberto Eco passes away!
The Italian novelist Umberto Eco passes away at 84. He is best known for his novel ‘The Name of the Rose’ which he has written in 1980.
Novelist Umberto Eco was suffering from cancer and died late night. Eco was not only a novelist but he was the Norton Professor at Harvard University. The Name of the Rose was his first Novel.
The Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi also paid tribute to this intellectual personality. He also added that his death is a big loss for the country because people will miss his writing.
Eco was born in Alessandria and was interested in subjects like philosophy and literature.
