New drug to combat rare bleeding disorder gets USFDA approval
US drug maker Baxalta has come out with a new drug to combat a rare bleeding disorder called ‘Hemophilia A’. The drug is called Adynovate.
Hemophilia A is rare, however in the people suffering from it, normal blood clotting does not occur, with 70 percent suffering from severe forms of the disease.
The new drug, which has just won USFDA approval for commercial release is said to be more effective at controlling and reducing bleeding in Hemophilia A patients than another drug called Advate, which is also a product of Baxalta, and till date has been the drug of choice globally for combating this disease.
