National Living Wage in UK
The National Living Wage in the United Kingdom is now an enforceable law. The government of Britain says that “If you’re working and aged 25 or over and not in the first year of an apprenticeship, you are legally entitled to at least £7.20 per hour.”
An employer is supposed to ensure that the NLW is being paid to the workers. For workers in the age group 21 to 24, the National Minimum Wage of £6.70 an hour will be applicable.
The 50p increase in the NLW has been welcomed by all.
The new NLW will help in increasing the salary of an approximately 1.3 million workers.
