While trying to record an Instagram Reel that would go viral, Kamdar overbalanced and fell 300 feet into a steep gorge that the Mangaon police station officials described. Her friends immediately reported the situation to the relevant local authorities to initiate a demanding rescue mission, which involved several teams including the Coast Guard, Kolad rescue unit, and several other personnel from the Maharashtra State Electricity Board as NDTV highlighted.

The rescue operation was far from easy for the rescuers who had to cope with numerous problems contributed by the downpour and the constant threat of the falling of cliffs. One of the rescuers was quoted by NDTV as saying, “Getting to her was easy; the challenge was in the environment that made it very hard to evacuate her safely.” With a vertical pulley system in place, the two worked for six hours pulling Kamdar out of the gorge.

However, the twos’ attempts failed and Kamdar was seriously injured in the accident which left him being rushed to Mangaon taluka government hospital. Unfortunately, she passed on while receiving treatment for the injuries inflicted on her, causing her family, friends, and fans to mourn suddenly.
This unfortunate occurrence is a reminder of the risks involved in visiting natural sites, more so during the monsoon period when the environment becomes unpredictable. This is especially because the nature has provided much thrill and excitement by creating such settings where authorities have called for watch and care during such situations so as to make tourism safety a premise.
