Modi speaks at G-20
A G-20 summit, representing 20 of the World’s most powerful economies is being held at Antalya in Turkey.
Speaking at the summit, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “ Given our size and scale, India can become a pillar of global growth and stability.”
He also said that India now has the largest program in the World to include all it’s citizens in financial growth, and has set “definite” target dates” to ensure that all basic needs like, food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and education of it’s citizens are met.
Mentioning the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a set of goals set for global eradication of poverty by 2030, Modi said that India has aligned it’s development programs with the SDGs in not only eradicating poverty, but also bringing about a good balance between human welfare, environment and growth.
