Microsoft Acquires LinkedIn
Software company Microsoft has acquired control over the social networking professional site LinkedIn. Both the companies settled the deal for $26.2 billion.

With this big deal, Microsoft despite being one of the largest in the tech sector, added tools to connect with business as it is moving its roots further away as a pure software firm.
Jief Winner, the chief executive of LinkedIn will work under Satya Nadella, Microsoft chief executive.The India born American business executive Satya Nadella said, “This deal brings together the world’s leading professional cloud with the world’s leading professional network.”
LinkedIn has 43 crore users which includes 10 crore Indians. Till date Microsoft has taken over 8 companies for more than 1 billion each. Before this big acquisition, Microsoft has also taken over the phone company Nokia in 2013.
