The two Asian countries, India and Maldives are ready to sign a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty. This treaty will provide both the countries with an opportunity to work together and also cooperate on matters of terrorism and criminal matters.
The approval for this came from the Union Cabinet whose head is the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. This bilateral agreement will seek to provide a broad legal framework and also decrease the crime rate through mutual cooperation.
