Malaysia is a traditional Muslim country. Fraternizing between genders is generally frowned upon. In this scenario, youngsters were finding it increasingly difficult to find life partners.
A new event, aimed at alleviating this problem, called ‘Halal Speed Dating’ was recently organized in capital city Kuala Lumpur. “Instead of casual hookups, Halal Speed Dating is about dignified and chaperoned meet-ups with the intention of marriage. In fact, we do not condone the modern dating that is commonly practiced,” said it’s founders.
