Malala loves India!
Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani girl, who has become a Icon for the Girl child, won a Nobel Prize last year.
Speaking to a journalist, she shared her love for her home of Swat Valley, which she had to quit in haste to get medical treatment, after she was shot in the head by the Taliban for refusing their dictate against girls attending school.
Not deterred, she nevertheless went, and was quoted as saying “When you believe in something, a strong conviction in what you are saying, then it comes automatically.”
She is also pleasantly surprised at the support she is getting in India, and said “People of India are very doting and respecting and it does not matter to them as to what religion or region one belongs or what language one speaks…If they believe that you are doing right, they stand by you…..”
