Liquor license issued by Karnataka government after 20 years!
The Karnataka government is all set ready to issue fresh liquor license after a gap of nearly 20 Years. Around 3000 applications are pending before the Karnataka government seeking permission to open a liquor store.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that “The government has not issued any fresh license for liquor store for several years. The population has grown in the last two decades and there is demand to issue fresh liquor licenses. We will consider issuing the License in the coming days.”
CM further said that it will also help to curb the sale of illicit liquor as the demand has gone up. Every year Karnataka government earns around Rs 13,000 crore revenue via excise department.
