Koppu wrecks havoc in Philippines
Typhoon Koppu has hit Phillipines. Moving slowly, almost at 3 kmph speed, it is flattening everything in it’s wake.
So far, waves 12 feet high have battered the coastline, pushing sea water into homes, trees have felled, and buildings have flattened. The typhoon has also ripped power lines, rendering whole areas without electricity. As a precaution, flights have been cancelled, and transport to remote areas also stopped for fear of landslides.
The behemoth has already displaced thousands of people, and with torrential rains and flooding predicted, given it’s slow speed, Philippines is in for a rough spell.
