ISIL captures last of Syrian oilfield
The Syrian conflict which began in 2011 has seen the death of tens of thousands of people and a great loss of the country’s political, economic and social stature.
ISIL (The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) has been bringing the economy of Syria down by capturing major economic assets of the country. It recently captured the last government oilfield in Syria, the Jazal field through deadly clashes.
Though the field was shut down, there were clashes going on around it and there were casualties on both sides.
