INTERNET BLOCKED IN ROHTAK

The Jat community in India are prominently found in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

This community has been fighting for quota and on Friday the protest turned violent. Following this, the Haryana government blocked internet in the Jhajjar district and Rohtak city.

The Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar has called for a meeting discussion this issue. The Jat community wants quota for themselves in government jobs and educational institutions under the OBC (Other Backward Classes) category.

Further information about when the prohibition will be lifted and the decision of the all party meeting will soon be clear.
