According to a report, with the domestic trade estimating production of cotton at around 400 Lakh Bales, India is expected to become largest producer of cotton in world till 2105 -16.
This year production of cotton was less in comparison to last year in all the major countries including India. As a result China has had to vacate its number position for India.
