The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains at various isolated places, especially in Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Champawat districts of Uttarakhand.

Also the weather department has also issued a prior warning alert of heavy and most probably very heavy rain at few places in Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Champawat, Pauri, Almora, Haridwar, Tehri and Dehradun districts during the next 72 hours starting from today.
All District Administrations keeping in view of the alert, have further been asked to take precautionary measures.
Vikram Singh the Director of the state Met. Department has that, said that a low pressure line between the Punjab and Bay of Bengal is triggering the rains and also the western disturbance is moving and it will approach Jammu and Kashmir and Afghanistan in the coming next two to three days.
