We all at some point in our lives been in awe of the masterpiece that Titanic was and dissed at our luck for never being able to sail in it. But what has been built and is ready to steam through the waters is labelled as the world’s biggest ever cruise ship.
Measured at 363 metres, ‘Harmony of the Seas’ is believed to be 100 metres longer than the Titanic and 50 metres longer than the Eiffel Tower. The ship is said to have a capacity of 6,360 passengers and 2,100 staff.
The cruise liner will be sailing for the first time as a test trip from France with only 500 staff management on board. If all goes well, it will sail to the British port in Southampton in May from where it will set sail for its first trip to Barcelona along the Mediterranean.
