According to a report prepared by National Education Policy, prepared by Gujarat’s education department has revealed at maternity leaves of women teachers is one of the major reasons affecting skill acquisition at elementary school level.
There are 2.04 lakh teachers, of whom over 96,000 are women who get 108 days of maternity leave.
