Many of us are not aware of this great man’s contribution but we must say Karl Landsteiner’s discoveries have saved many lives. In year 1901 Landsteiner firstly discovered the blood types A,B,AB and O and people of the same types can transfer there.

In 1907, first successful blood transferred occurred which led to advances in medicines, therapies and surgery. Landsteiner also worked with his fellow scientist Eruin Popper that led to the discovery of the polio virus.
On his 148th birthday we would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Karl Landsteiner for helping us to live healthier life.
