Goa endorses PETA’s ‘Compassionate Citizen’
Recognizing the importance of preventing cruelty to animals, Goa’s State Council of Education Research and Training – ‘SCERT’ has asked schools there to include the ‘Compassionate Citizen’ program in their curricula.
This program, targetted at children between 8 and 12 years of age is aimed at instilling compassionate values among children to live harmoniously with all creatures.
PETA runs a program – ‘Share the World’. Compassionate Citizen is a version of that program, specially tailored to Indian conditions and needs.
