The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday supported India’s bid for the Nuclear Suppliers’ Group (NSG) membership, and has called other meeting in South Korea today.
The Ministry said that according to France, India’s entry into the four multilateral export control regimes (NSG, Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), The Australia Group, and The Wassenaar Arrangement) will boost international proliferation efforts.

“India’s participation will help in regulating the export of sensitive goods,” the Ministry added.
The Ministry further added that India and France have been strategic partners since 1998 and share common goals regarding non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
