Enjoy your KFC meal now in train also!

Getting ‘with it’, Indian Railways are finally waking up to the changing taste palate of the discerning Indian traveler. Gone are the days, when, to paraphrase Henry Ford, ‘They can have any meal, as long as it is our thali’, Indian Railways are now introducing popular branded foods on their menu.

In line with this ‘Glasnost’, one can now binge on a bit of Americana with KFC, while travelling across the Indian hinterland on train.

This is thanks to a recent tie-up between KFC and IRCTC – the Indian Railway subsidiary responsible for the food. A passenger can order KFC meals while booking the tickets through IRCTC.

The service is presently available in 12 trains passing from the capital but in next ten days it would be expanded till Vishakhapatnam.
