A new best friend, a exquisite and rare 16.08 carat pink diamond is slated to go under the hammer on Nov. 10, at around 23 to 28 Million dollars.
The diamond, supposed to be the largest of it’s kind to ever be auctioned, has aficionados drooling. The cushion cut Fancy Vivid Pink diamond, graded by GIA is set in a ring, surrounded by two rings of pave set white diamonds, and a third of tiny pink diamonds beneath.
What makes this gem a rarity is it’s size and colour. In the entire history, only three pink diamonds over 10 carats each have ever appeared in auctions, and none even close to this.
