The National Commission for Backward Classes has recently put forth a proposal mentioning that OBCs earning upto 15 lakh per annum should be allowed to take standard 27 percent reservation.
According to reports, earlier, it was suggested that this creamy ceiling layer should be raised to 10.50 lakh from 6 lakhs.
In fact, the commission has proposed that this would include children of sitting MPs.
