CAN WE FURTHER ‘MODI’FY FARIDABAD?
Yesterday, on 6th September the much awaited metro line in Faridabad, Haryana, India, was inaugurated by none other than the nation’s Prime Minister.
Speculations of Modi coming by road or by air were put to rest when he took the metro from the Janpath station along with the public and road till Bata Chowk, Faridabad.
A significant city of Haryana, constructing a metro line that connected Delhi with Faridabad was an imperative step in the overall development of both states. This launch was being planned since months but got delayed due to something or the other.
That’s not all. As soon as this date got final for the PM’s visit, there have been humungous rapid changes, positive changes, that even the natives of the city cannot believe could ever happen in such short time span.
Roads were made, remade and marked with proper zebra crossing. Dustbins and cleanliness arrangements made, traffic police was present almost every 200 meters and there was a civic sense among everyone.
To add drama to the event, Aam Aadmi Party, who offocially run the Delhi Government at present, were quite miffed at their Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal not being invited to the event. After all protocol demanded it.
