Breakthrough in Syrian political deadlock
After the dastardly attack on innocents by ISIS in Paris, the key international players – USA, Europe, Russia and the Middle East have agreed to move ahead with setting up the process for elections in Syria.
All are unanimous in the desire and need to hold free and fair elections in Syria, to end internal strife in this war torn nation.
However, one key area, on which there is major disagreement, is the fate of the current dictator of Syria – Basher-al-Assad.
Still, with all the key players coming on board to work on holding elections, whose current agreed upon time frame is two years, one can be hopeful that the ‘Assad Question’ will also be taken care of in the quest for peace and harmony.
