Ankit Fadia, the 30 year old ethical hacker was the first to claim that he was the brand ambassador of Digital India. The government then came up with a statement saying that no one had been appointed as the brand ambassador for this initiative (digital India) that was the idea of Prime Minister Modi.
Few hours later, the government took down this statement and took out a new statement which stated that there are four ambassadors to the programme and they are- Satwat Jagani, All India IIT-JEE —Advanced Topper -2015, Krati Tiwari, All India IIT-JEE—Advanced Girl Topper -2015, Ankit Fadia, Author & Ethical Hacker and Ranav Mistry. They have been appointed for this for a period of one year and their job is to generate awareness about the programme.
Digital India has become a huge hit not only at home, but also outside as it has attracted a lot of attention from the international world.
