BLACK MONDAY PREYS ON CHINA’S RICHEST MAN
When the Monday market carnage was rushing past in a flurry, it took away some of China’s richest man too.
Wang Jianlin, chairperson Dalian Wanda, a property and entertainment company, lost almost ten percent of his total wealth. Jianlin, currently the richest in China, lost as much as a staggering 3.6 billion dollars during what everyone is calling the Black Monday.
The loss was a result of the country’s economy going for a toss in a single day and global stock markets sinking down. Shanghai suffered the biggest one day loss since 2007 when the shares collapsed to around 8.49 percent.
Jianlin’s total fortune currently stands at a mere 31.2 billion dollars after getting ravaged at the stock exchange.
