Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah delivered a strong warning to the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress alliance on Tuesday, accusing them of corruption and misusing public funds. He promised to take strict action against those involved if the BJP wins the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Speaking at a rally in Dhanbad, Shah criticized the JMM-Congress coalition, alleging that crores of rupees seized from their leaders belonged to the people of Jharkhand. “All this money should go to the youth, mothers, and sisters of Jharia and Dhanbad. If you choose the BJP, we will hold these looters accountable and recover every rupee for Jharkhand’s treasury,” he said. Shah claimed that the alliance had stolen from poor tribals, backward classes, and the youth.

Amit Shah also accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of failing to fulfill election promises. “Rahul Baba makes many promises that are not kept. Now even his party president Kharge ji says these promises won’t be fulfilled. But Modi’s promises are written in stone; every guarantee will be met,” he asserted. Shah urged the people of Jharkhand to vote for the BJP in the upcoming elections, emphasizing that every vote would shape the state’s future. He contrasted the JMM, which he claimed benefited only the wealthy, with the BJP, which he said would help empower poor mothers.

If the BJP wins, Shah pledged Monday, a committee will be established to find and expel infiltrators from Jharkhand. He also vowed that foreign nationals would be prevented from claiming land by marrying tribal women.

In response, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused the BJP of trying to intimidate voters, but expressed confidence in the Congress-JMM alliance. He urged supporters to stay vigilant, pointing to alleged BJP mischief in recent Haryana elections. Ramesh said he was confident that voters in Jharkhand and Maharashtra would recognize the issues raised by Congress and support the Congress-JMM alliance and the MVA coalition in Maharashtra.
