A news book has claimed Shakespeare may have had an ‘illegitimate’ son
According to a report, a new book has claimed that Shakespeare may have had an illegitimate son for whom the legendary writer penned down a sonnet.
The Sonnet 126, addressed to “my lovely boy”, was written for the infant William Davenant. He grew up to be poet laureate. When a comparison was made between both the men that showed that they both suffered from the same facial deformity around the eye.
On the other hand, the author, Simon Andrew Stirling has suppressed all the rumors that Shakespeare was the father of Davenant. The case is made in Shakespeare’s Bastard, a rare biography of Davenant, which will be published soon to mark the 400th death anniversary of the legendary bard.
