With the passage of time India is evolving and Indians are changing their mindsets for the widows, one such example is set by Gujrati businessman, who invited 18,000 women in his son’s wedding.
Earlier, widows presence at a wedding was considered a taboo at many places. It was believed that they bring bad luck. Jitendra Patel, a resident of Mehsana invited widows from five districts of Gujarat.
He crushed all the superstitious believes from his step and to make them feel more special every widow was presented with a blanket and a sapling.
