He also added that “To be eligible, the account must be a subscriber to Twitter Blue Verified.” A good news for creators. This is a good incentive for content creators who are Twitter verified. This allows them to generate more income through the micro-blogging platform. This will also boost the overall income of Twitter and might attract more people to join Twitter and subscribe to Twitter Blue Verified.
What is the Twitter Blue Verified?
Back in November 2022, Musk had announced the Twitter Blue Verified. If you are looking to purchase a Blue subscription, it will cost $8/month and the “Price adjusted by country proportionate to purchasing power parity.” The blue checkmark will mean two different things, according to twitter. It can mean those who are already verified under the legacy verification criteria or those who have the subscription.

Though Musk has not specified how much of the ad revenue would be shared or any further details, but this is a start and it has got the internet buzzing with excitement.
This will also allow Twitter to offer a model that will attract more creators and compete with the existing model being followed by Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. These social media apps already have an ad revenue sharing model with creators which have made them a popular choice in the past. But, to truly see the benefit of this announcement, details will have to be released soon to see how it impacts the creators.
