Twitter blocks 125,000 accounts promoting terrorism
According to a report, Twitter has suspended more than 125,000 accounts since mid 2015 for threatening or promoting terrorists’ acts.
The US company shared this information via posting blog and said that the accounts “Primarily related to ISIS has been suspended.” Because company believes that twitter is not a platform to promote terrorism and said that it had also increased its report reviewing teams to take steps quickly.
Notably, Twitter has more than 500 million users around the world. In fact, government around the world including US has urged social media companies to take more vigorous measure to tackle online violence.
