On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the seventh edition of the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC), a three-day extravaganza happening at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan in the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre. This venue, which previously hosted the G20 Summit in September, is now buzzing with the latest in telecommunications and digital innovation.

India’s Digital Gateway
The event saw IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasizing the pivotal role of telecom in India’s journey towards a digital revolution. He aptly described it as the ‘gateway’ to Digital India, highlighting how the nation is now exporting telecom equipment to over 70 countries, showcasing our technological prowess on the global stage.
Adding to the excitement, it was announced that the next edition of the World Telecommunications Standardisation Assembly will take place in the national capital, further solidifying India’s position in the world of telecommunications.

The event also featured prominent figures like Akash Ambani, the Chairperson of Reliance Jio, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairperson of Bharti Enterprises, and Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairperson of the Aditya Birla Group, who shared their insights and visions in this ever-evolving tech landscape.
