Nvidia re-launches corrected tablets
Called the ‘ultimate tablet for gamers’ by Nvidia, the much hyped Shield Tablet was launched with much fanfare. However, soon after, the company recalled the product, as it’s battery was a potential fire hazard.
Nvidia has now corrected the error, and has relaunched the tablet, albeit with a new price of $199, which is $100 cheaper than the launch price.
True to their word, they have also replaced the tablets to each and every customer who had purchased the original Shield.
Specs remain the same for the 8 inch tablet, with a resolution of 1920 by 1200, having Nvidia’s K1 processor, and 16 GB of hard drive, with additional availability of a micro SD card support, dual stero speakers. The current OS Android Lollipop, which will be upgraded to 6.0 Marshmallow shortly.
