Paint 3D On Windows will be shut down by Microsoft on this Date

Windows users have had access to Paint 3D for a long time, but it appears Microsoft is finally prepared to discontinue it .

Microsoft Will Shut Down Paint 3D On Windows From This Date: Here’s The Reason

Microsoft is to stop developing the Paint 3D application, bringing an important era of 3D modeling and editing capabilities to an end. The app, which was much anticipated when it was first published in 2016 as part of the Windows 10 Creators Update, will no longer be available for download from the Microsoft Store after the previously mentioned date.

Paint 3D had some unique features, like the ability to build and edit 3D models, but it was not generally accepted by Windows users. Microsoft’s choice to withdraw the app reflects a shift in focus away from creating 3D content for a wide audience.

The first to identify and reveal this significant change was an X user who was well-known for disclosing Windows-related knowledge. The ad sends users to a Microsoft page about deprecated features, however Paint 3D isn’t currently included in that list.

Microsoft made Paint 3D an additional download from the Microsoft Store in 2021 after removing it from the list of installed programs in Windows 10. Years of declining interest in Paint 3D led to the decision to retire the tool. Customers who liked the simplicity of Paint 3D’s predecessor were hostile toward the program, which was initially meant to replace the iconic Paint program.

Users who have installed Paint 3D on their systems after November 4th, most likely still have the ability to use it, but support and updates will stop after that date. If you’re interested in 3D modeling, Microsoft suggests looking into more advanced software solutions that are out there. Moving forward, it appears that Microsoft is streamlining its suite of creative applications, focusing on tools with a larger user base and assigning specialized 3D modeling to third-party programs.
